Robby Makka (55)

Mr. Robby Makka (MSc), a jurist and financial-economic analyst, has been knighted twice for his contributions to the diaspora—once royally in the Netherlands and once presidentially in Suriname. For the past 30 years, he has tirelessly and selflessly dedicated himself, without subsidies or reimbursement, to various impactful roles as a leader, expert, advisor, and, most importantly, volunteer. Through diverse community initiatives, he has made significant contributions to both the Dutch and Surinamese diaspora. In the Netherlands, he is affectionately known as “Mister Diaspora.”

Brian Imambaks (44)

Brian Imambaks is the founder of Technovate NV and a visionary IT expert with over 15 years of experience, specializing in cloud infrastructure, backup and recovery, and database management across Linux and Windows environments. He is also highly skilled in MS SQL Server and has embraced cutting-edge technologies such as augmented reality and artificial intelligence to drive innovation.

As the creator of RXCHAT, one of the Caribbean’s leading AI chatbot platforms, Brian has transformed customer engagement for small and medium-sized businesses by helping them streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and save time and money. Additionally, he developed Augmentify, a digital twin platform that bridges the real and virtual worlds, enabling augmented reality experiences that drive growth in industries such as manufacturing, oil and gas, tourism, retail, banking, and logistics.

Brian is also the visionary behind RXPAY, a payment gateway platform designed to streamline payments for companies and the banking sector. RXPAY simplifies transaction processing, enabling even those without a bank account to access online payments. By fostering financial inclusion, RXPAY brings seamless payment solutions closer to everyone.

With a career spanning multiple sectors such as insurance, banking, oil and gas, and retail, Brian brings a rich understanding of diverse business needs. His mission is to harness technology as a transformative force to elevate businesses into top-tier performers, delivering efficiency, growth, and enriched customer experiences.

Annand Jagesar

Mr. Annand Jagesar, Managing Director of Staatsolie, holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics and a master’s degree in Business Administration, specialization Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director, he has assumed several positions at Staatsolie, including Director Downstream, Deputy Director Business Development and Manager Corporate Planning.

Mr. Jagesar has a strong track record in strategic planning, project execution and operational efficiency. He has led the acquisition of the Chevron retail business in Suriname. He has been member of negotiation teams for Production Sharing Contracts and has negotiated a number of follow-up agreements to progress work execution in this regard.

Mr. Jagesar has been Chairman of the Board of the Suriname Stock Exchange; and member of the Supervisory Board of Twin hotels N.V. (owner of Courtyard Marriot Suriname). In addition, Mr. Jagesar has been the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo, and Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Insurance Company Assuria N.V.

Priya Ramcharan

Priya Ramcharan is an entrepreneur, language expert, and business coach dedicated to bridging communication gaps across cultures. She founded On Spot Language in 2022 to meet the rising demand for hybrid learning and intercultural communication in education and business. Her workshops have been used by private companies and government organizations to improve international collaboration.

Expanding into AI and virtual learning, Priya has helped businesses establish online training environments in Singapore, Dubai, Friesland, Germany, Indonesia, and Suriname. She also integrates AI tools into business coaching, enhancing communication and efficiency across industries like finance, logistics, and education.
As a certified legal interpreter and translator, she has assisted with official documents, contracts, and negotiations, including translations for Suriname’s Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries. Her expertise supports private businesses, government institutions, and diplomatic discussions.

With a diverse client base—including Christian ministries, medical beauticians, and logistics companies in The Netherlands—Priya continues to develop innovative solutions that help individuals and businesses navigate language and cultural challenges in a globalized world, especially for young Surinamese entrepreneurs.
